Introduction
The National Institiution for Blind People is situated in the center of the Capitol, near to Városliget.
Our tasks are:
Complex social care for people with visual problems based on their age the level of their visual and other impairments.
Providing complex rehabilitation care and residential services for adult people with visual impairments helping their re-integration to the labour market.
Complex rehabilitation consist of:
- saving and proving the phisycal and visual state
- saving and proving the skills of selfcare and selfsupport
- supporting the adequate self-confidence and self re-cognition
- searching educational, training and employment opportunities appropriate to the clients' needs and skills helping their acces and integration
- searching and helping the acces to social benefits.
Beside the complex rehabilitation we provide residential services for those adult people with visual impairments and special needs whose care is not insured in their own home.
The insitution offers day and family care for clients living in Budapest in their own home.
